Most pianos benefit from a tuning once or twice a year. If a piano has been sitting longer than that — through moves, seasons, a kid leaving for college — it likely needs a pitch raise before a fine tuning will hold. We'll tell you which is which when we get there.
Voicing and regulation are quieter work, but they're often the difference between a piano you tolerate and one you actually want to play. If your piano feels uneven, harsh, or unresponsive, those are tunable problems — not reasons to replace the instrument.
When was the last time it was tuned?
If you can't remember, it's been too long. Schedule a tuning or an assessment and we'll come take a look.
